Proper brush care and maintenance

Taking care of your makeup brushes is essential to ensure their longevity and performance. Here are some tips for proper brush care and maintenance:

  1. Regular Cleaning: It’s important to clean your brushes regularly to remove product buildup and bacteria. Use a mild shampoo or brush cleanser and warm water to gently clean the bristles. Avoid getting the ferrule (the metal part that holds the bristles) wet, as this can loosen the glue and cause shedding. Rinse the brushes thoroughly and reshape the bristles before laying them flat to dry.
  2. Storage: Proper storage is important to protect your brushes and keep them in good condition. Store them upright in a brush holder or cup to prevent the bristles from getting bent or damaged. Avoid storing them in a closed container or drawer, as this can lead to the growth of bacteria.
  3. Avoiding Product Contamination: To prevent product contamination, avoid double-dipping your brushes into different products without cleaning them in between. This can mix different colors or transfer bacteria from one product to another. Instead, use a clean brush or tissue to remove any excess product before dipping into a new one.
